Ingredients
One per line
1 cup uncooked long-grain white rice 1 T butter 2 cloves garlic minced 1 15 ounce can chicken broth plus water to make 16 oz of liquid 1 tablespoon freshly squeezed lime juice 2 teaspoons sugar 3 Tablespoons fresh chopped cilantro
Directions
One per line
In a saucepan combine all ingredients. Bring to a boil. Cover and cook on low 15-20 minutes until rice is tender. Remove from heat. Works well with minute rice, just omit the 15 oz can chicken broth, and use 1 cup of chicken broth instead of the 1 c water. Heat butter, garlic, lime juice and chicken broth. Bring to a boil. Add minute rice, stir. Turn off heat, remove from heat, cover, let cook 5 minutes. When done, fluff and stir with lime juice, sugar and cilantro. If using Minute Rice, just add the ingredients together and cook replacing the water with chicken broth.
