Ingredients
One per line
3/4 c butter softened 3/4 c brown sugar 1 egg yolk 1 1/2 c flour 1/4 tsp salt 14 oz (1 can) sweetened condensed milk 2 T. butter 2 tsp. vanilla 12 oz (2 cups) choc chips (milk choc are usually used but semi-sweet would work, too) 1 c Heath bits 3/4 cup chopped roasted almonds
Directions
One per line
Preheat oven to 350°. Grease 9 x 13 pan. Mix butter and sugar. Add egg yolk, mix well. Add flour and salt, mix well. With floured hands, press dough into pan. Bake for 20 mins, until light brown. Cool on wire rack (this is important that it be cool). For filling, in heavy bottom pan, heat condensed milk and 2 T. butter over medium heat until bubbly, stirring constantly. Cook and stir 4 to 5 more minutes until golden. Sprinkle with chocolate chips, bake 1-2 more mins until shiny and melted. Spread chocolate evenly and sprinkle with toffee and nuts. Press into chocolate just enough to hold them. Cool completely. Cut into 3 X 2 " rectangles and then into triangles. Store in fridge.
