Ingredients
One per line
2 1/2 cups flour 1/2 teaspoon baking powder 1/2 teaspoon salt 1/2 cup butter softened 1 cup sugar 1 egg 1 1/2 Tablespoons sour cream 1 teaspoon vanilla Frosting: 1/2 cup butter softened 4 cups powdered sugar 1/4 cup milk 1 teaspoon vanilla Drops of desired color of food coloring
Directions
One per line
Preheat oven to 375°. Grease 9x13 pan. In small bowl, combine flour, baking powder and salt. Set aside. In large bowl, (I use my Kitchen Aid) cream together butter and sugar until light and fluffy, about 3 minutes. Add egg and combine well. Add sour cream and vanilla and mix until completely blended. Slowly add the flour mixture and stir until well combined. Gently press the batter in the greased baking dish and spread out with hands. (It will be easier if you put a little butter on your hands first.) Bake 17-20 minutes or until edges become lightly golden. Set aside to cool completely. Frosting: Cream together the butter, powdered sugar, milk and vanilla. Add desired color of food coloring. Mix will. Spread evenly over the cooled cookie bars. Cut and serve!
