2 really full cups of raisins 1 cup water 1 rounding teaspoon baking soda 1 1/2 cup sugar 3/4 cup oil 2 cups oats 2 cups flour 1/4 teaspoon salt 2 teaspoons baking powder 2 teaspoons cinnamon 1 teaspoon nutmeg 1/2 teaspoon allspice Optional: Add 1 cup chopped nuts.

Simmer raisins in water for about 15 minutes. Don't drain. Cool to lukewarm and add baking soda. Stir well. Cream the oil and sugar. Add the raisin mixture. Stir. Add the oats, flour, salt, baking powder, cinnamon, nutmeg and allspice. Mix well. Spoon onto greased baking sheet. Cook for 10 minutes at 375°. Move cookies to rack to cool. Note: This recipe really does not use eggs!!!
