16 oz ham (oscar mayer lean smoked ham water added is best) 6 eggs 2 c milk 6 slices white bread 5 c colby jack shredded cheese 2 (4 oz) cans chopped green chilis 1/4 tsp onion salt 1/2 tsp paprika 1/2 tsp basil pepper

Cut the crust off the bread, butter one side, and lay it butter side down in a 9x13 pan. On top of the braed, layer half the ham, half the chilies, and a couple cups of cheese, then layer the rest of the ham, chilies, and cheese. Combine milk, eggs, and spices, whisk until well combined, pour over the bread, ham, chilies and cheese. Cover in foil, refrigerate overnight. In the morning, bake at 325 for 45 minutes, it may need to be baked at 335. Remove the foil, and bake 10-15 more minutes. The top should be golden and bubbly and it will be puffy.
