Ingredients
One per line
3 sticks salted butter, room temp 1 1/4 c brown sugar 1 c white sugar 4 1/4 c flour 1 T cornstarch 1 tsp baking powder 1 1/2 tsp baking soda 2 tsp salt 2 eggs room temp 4 tsp vanilla 1 pkg large milk or dark chocolate chips
Directions
One per line
cream together butter and sugars very well for 3 minutes until light and fluffy. In another bowl whisk together flour, cornstarch, baking powder, baking soda and salt. Add eggs and vanilla to the wet ingredients and mix. Add dry ingredients slowly to wet ingredients until mixed in, don't over mix. Add chocolate chips. If you have time, make cookie dough balls into 5.6 oz each. Freeze cookie dough for 30 min, or refrigerate for 1 hour. pull apart balls, stack both sides on top of each other to form a flat but thick cookie. I've made these both ways, and it does seem to make a difference to make the dough nice and thick and cold first, it keeps the cookie from being too flat. Bake 375 degrees for 10 minutes.
