Ingredients:
  • 1 pkg. dry yeast (2.25 tsp)
  • 2 C warm water
  • 1 T sugar
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 4-5 C flour
  • oil
  • corn meal (optional)
  • melted butter
Directions:
  1. Place yeast, water, sugar, and salt in bowl and stir until dissolved.
  2. Add flour and stir until blended.
  3. Add any spices (rosemary, parmesan, basil, oregano, oranges, cranberries, etc.).
  4. Stir until blended, do not knead.
  5. Cover and let rise 1 hour or until doubled in size.
  6. Oil 1 or 2 cookie sheets and sprinkle with cornmeal.
  7. Flour hands, remove dough from bowl and place in 2 round balls on sheets.
  8. Or, flatten it out to 2 rectangles.
  9. Let rise 45 minutes to 1 hour.
  10. Brush the top with melted butter (and garlic salt or any other spices).
  11. Bake 425° for 10 minutes.
  12. Reduce to 375 and cook 15 minutes.
  13. Remove and brush again with butter.
