Chili-Liime Steak Edit Tags: Beef, Main Dishes

Ingredients:- 1-2 lbs boneless steak (Flank steak works well)
- 1 t chili powder
- 1 t granulated garlic
- ½ t cumin
- ½ t oregano
- ⅛-¼ t crushed red pepper
- ¾ t sea salt or kosher salt
- ¼ t fresh ground black pepper
- 1 t dried cilantro or â…“ cup fresh chopped cilantro
- 1 lime juiced (about 2 T lime juice)
- 1 T extra virgin olive oil
Directions:

Combine all the spices in a small bowl.

Add the juice and oil.

Stir til well mixed.

Place the meat in shallow dish.

Pour the mixture over the meat.

Rub the mixture into the meat with your hands.

Let sit for 15 minutes.

Cook over medium high heat on grill for 5-7 minutes per side depending on thickness of meat and desired doneness.

Allow to stand for 5 minutes before slicing into ¼ inch strips against the grain.

This can be served as a main dish or in a salad with lettuce, tomatoes, red onion, avocados, balck beans, cheese etc. Serve with a creamy cilantro dressing or cilantro- lime vinaigrette.
