Ingredients:
  • 1 cup butter, softened (do not melt all the way, cookies will be better if butter is just soft)
  • 1 cup sugar
  • ¾ cup packed brown sugar
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 cups flour
  • ½ cup cocoa
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1 â…” cups (10 oz package) mint or chocolate chips
Directions:
  1. Heat oven to 375°.
  2. Beat butter, white and brown sugar, vanilla and salt in large bowl until creamy. Add eggs; beat well.
  3. Stir together flour, cocoa and baking soda; gradually add to butter mixture, beating until well blended.
  4. Add chocolate chips.
  5. Drop by rounded teaspoons (or tablespoons) onto ungreased cookie sheet.
  6. Bake 8-10 minutes or until set.
  7. They really don't need to be cooked longer even if they are much bigger
  8. Cool slightly; remove from cookie sheet to wire rack.
  9. Cool completely.
  10. Note: If you made the cookie dough ahead of time and if it was in the fridge, take it out, push the softened button on microwave, soften for 2 minutes or so, this makes the cookie dough the right consistency. (it will be too hard if you try to scoop straight from fridge)
