Ingredients:
  • 4 squares (1 oz each) unsweetened baking chocolate squares
  • ½ cup butter
  • 2 ½ cups sugar
  • 12 oz can evaporated milk
  • ½ tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp vanilla
Directions:
  1. Place chocolate and butter in saucepan, and melt.
  2. Once all melted, add sugar, salt, and evaporated milk.
  3. Mix with a wire whisk over medium heat until ingredients are well blended.
  4. Mix constantly until the mixture comes to a boil.
  5. Once it has come to a rolling boil, I usually let it boil for an extra 30 seconds to a minute, but not more than a minute.
  6. Remove from heat and add the vanilla.
  7. Serve over ice cream, and any of your favorite desserts!
