Food network waffles Edit Tags: Breakfast
Ingredients:- 1 ¾ C flour
- 1 ¾ tsp baking powder
- â…› tsp salt
- â…› tsp ground nutmeg
- 1 ½ C milk
- 2 large eggs, separated
- ½ tsp vanilla
- ¼ C unsalted butter, melted
- 1 large egg white
- ¼ C sugar
Directions:

Preheat waffle iron to medium-high.

In large bowl, whisk together flour, egg yolks, vanilla, and ¼ C melted butter. Whisk the milk mixture into the flour mixture until a batter is formed. Take care not to over mix the batter.

In medium bowl, whip 3 egg whites until they begin to hold a loose peak. Scatter sugar over the whites and continue beating until they hold a soft peak. Fold a third of the egg whites into the batter to lighten the base. Fold in remaining whites.

Cook in waffle iron.

This recipe is a little work, but I really liked the taste. Jonny thought it was good, but I think he likes bisquick just as much!
