Ingredients:
  • 1 ¾ C flour
  • 1 ¾ tsp baking powder
  • â…› tsp salt
  • â…› tsp ground nutmeg
  • 1 ½ C milk
  • 2 large eggs, separated
  • ½ tsp vanilla
  • ¼ C unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 large egg white
  • ¼ C sugar
Directions:
  1. Preheat waffle iron to medium-high.
  2. In large bowl, whisk together flour, egg yolks, vanilla, and ¼ C melted butter. Whisk the milk mixture into the flour mixture until a batter is formed. Take care not to over mix the batter.
  3. In medium bowl, whip 3 egg whites until they begin to hold a loose peak. Scatter sugar over the whites and continue beating until they hold a soft peak. Fold a third of the egg whites into the batter to lighten the base. Fold in remaining whites.
  4. Cook in waffle iron.

  6. This recipe is a little work, but I really liked the taste. Jonny thought it was good, but I think he likes bisquick just as much!
