Sausage-Hashbrown Casserole with Bacon Edit Tags: Breakfast

Ingredients:- 1 pound mild Italian ground sausage
- 3 slices cooked bacon crumbled
- 1 30 ounce package hashbrowns
- 1 medium onion chopped
- 2 T oil
- salt
- pepper
- 1 small can diced mild chiles
- 2 cups sharp cheddar cheese
- 10 large eggs
- 1 cup milk
- 1cup cream
Directions:

Brown sausage, adding chopped onion when sausage is almost cooked. Drain well.

Cook hash browns sprinkled well with salt and pepper in a couple of Tablespoons of hot oil for about 7 minutes per side.

Spray a 9x13 pan with grease.

Layer the cooked hash browns, then sausage with onion, diced chiles, and 1 ½ cups of the cheese.

Whisk the eggs and then mix in the milk and cream.

Pour mixture over ingredients layered in pan.

Sprinkle the bacon pieces evenly over the casserole.

Bake at 350° for 35-40 minutes or 30 minutes in convection oven.

Add last ½ cup cheese the last 3-4 minutes of cooking.
