  3. Bread doesn’t have to be old, and sometimes I don’t cut it up, but just lay the full pieces down.
  4. Some of my kids like less cream cheese (I like it fine as it is written). I have often made it with just one package of cream cheese per 9x13 pan. Smaller bits are better than one inch cubes.
  5. Frozen blueberries work fine; we also like it made with fresh or frozen raspberries.
  6. I usually don’t bother letting it sit overnight; it works fine to cook it right away.
