Glaze for Fresh Fruit Pies Edit    Tags: Desserts, Pies

Ingredients:
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 cups water
  • 3 T Corn Starch
  • ½ pkg jello (Rasp for Rasp, Strawberry for Strawberry, peach for peach)
Directions:
  1. Cook Sugar, water, and Corn Starch until it boils and thickens.
  2. Add Jello.
  3. Stir until completely dissolved.
  4. For Raspberry pie, layer some of the cooled glaze on a cooked pie crust.
  5. Add a layer of fresh raspberries.
  6. Cover with a layer of glaze.
  7. Add more raspberries.
  8. Cover with glaze.
  9. Repeat for as full a pie as you want.
  10. For Strawberry pie, you can add the glaze to the strawberries, mix carefully and dump into a cooked pie crust.
  11. Makes enough glaze for two small pies or 1 large pie.
