Ingredients:
  • 4 ½ cups very warm water
  • ½ cup oil
  • ½ cup honey
  • 2 ¼ T yeast
  • 1 ½ T salt
  • 1 ½ T dough enhancer
  • 9 cups whole wheat flour
  • 3 cups white flour
  • Makes four loaves of bread.
Directions:
  1. Combine warm water, oil, honey, yeast, salt, dough enhancer and half of the flour. (I make this in my Bosch.)
  2. Mix well.
  3. Let sit covered for 30 minutes.
  4. Slowly add the rest of the flour.
  5. When completely incorporated knead for 6-8 minutes.
  6. Spray counter and hands with spray oil.
  7. Dump dough on counter and divide into four equal parts.
  8. Form into loaves and place in greased loaf pans.
  9. Cover and let rise until double.
  10. Bake in a 350° oven for 30-40 minutes.
  11. Remove from pans immediately after removing from oven and place on cooling rack.
  12. Rub with butter on all sides but the bottom.
