3 c flour 1 tsp baking soda 1 tsp salt 1 1/3 c butter 3 c sugar 8 T water (or 1/2 c water) 4 12 oz. chocolate or mint chips (8 cups) 4 tsp vanilla 8 eggs 2 c nuts (optional)
Directions

In small bowl, combine flour, soda and salt. In saucepan combine butter, sugar and water. Bring just to boil. Remove. Add 4 c chips and vanilla. Stir till melted and smooth. Transfer to large bowl. Add eggs, 1 at a time, beating after each. Gradually, blend in flour mixture. Stir in remaining 4 c chips (and nuts). Spread in greased double size pan. Bake at 350° for 50-60 min. Do not use one 9x13 and 1 square pan because it will over flow! If you do not have a double size pan try using 2 (9x13) pans.
