2 cups sugar 1 3/4 cup flour 3/4 cup cocoa 1 1/2 t baking powder 1 1/2 t baking soda 1 t salt 2 eggs 1 cup milk 1/2 cup vegetable oil 2 t vanilla 1 cup boiling water

Mix the dry ingredients. Add the liquids and mix. Cook in a 9x13 pan for 35-40 minutes at 350°(in Shelly's oven it takes 40 min), or 2 8 inch rounds for 30-33 minutes, or 2 9 inch rounds for about 30 minutes, or 3 6 inch pans for 31 min. For cupcakes- fill 2/3 full. Use one large cookie scoop to fill. Bake 20-25 min. Yields 32 cupcakes. Frost with the frosting below after cooling. Chocolate frosting 1/2 cup butter 2/3 cup cocoa 4 cups powdered sugar 1/2 cup evaporated milk 1 t vanilla Melt butter. Stir in cocoa. Add pd sugar and milk alternately, beating til spreading sonsistency. Add vanilla. Can add more milk if necessary.
