Ingredients
One per line
1 cup butter, softened (do not melt all the way, cookies will be better if butter is just soft) 1 cup sugar 3/4 cup packed brown sugar 2 tsp vanilla extract 1/2 tsp salt 2 eggs 2 cups flour 1/2 cup cocoa 1 tsp baking soda 1 2/3 cups (10 oz package) mint or chocolate chips
Directions
One per line
Heat oven to 375°. Beat butter, white and brown sugar, vanilla and salt in large bowl until creamy. Add eggs; beat well. Stir together flour, cocoa and baking soda; gradually add to butter mixture, beating until well blended. Add chocolate chips. Drop by rounded teaspoons (or tablespoons) onto ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 8-10 minutes or until set. They really don't need to be cooked longer even if they are much bigger Cool slightly; remove from cookie sheet to wire rack. Cool completely. Note: If you made the cookie dough ahead of time and if it was in the fridge, take it out, push the softened button on microwave, soften for 2 minutes or so, this makes the cookie dough the right consistency. (it will be too hard if you try to scoop straight from fridge)
